How often do I need to have my oil changed?
You must follow the recommended service intervals provided by the manufacturer in your owners manual.
Can I change the oil in my car and still be covered?
No. Your vehicle's motor oil has to be changed at a commercial facility with verifiable
computer generated receipts. Hand written receipts will not be accepted.
Is there a deductible?
No, none of our plans have any deductible.
Do the coverage plans cover parts and labor?
Yes, full retail rates are paid for
all labor and parts required to repair a covered component. This includes
payment for fluids in conjunction with a covered repair.
Where can I have repairs done?
You can have your vehicle repaired
by any licensed repair facility in your area. You may take it in for repairs
at your original dealer, your favorite repair shop, or any national chain that
performs vehicle repairs such as Firestone or Goodyear as long as the repair
shop is A.S.E or State Certified. All covered repairs are paid direct to the
service center with a corporate credit card so you don't have to file a claim
and wait for reimbursement.
What should I do if I have a claim?
You will be asked to take your vehicle to an ASE Certified shop or technician for preliminary inspection. Do not authorize disassembly of any component before the repair facility or technician has called us.
Will a dealership honor the warranty?
Yes, full retail prices are paid on
all labor and parts for a covered repair, so a dealership will welcome the
additional business. All claims are paid directly to the service center using
a corporate credit card so you don't have to wait for reimbursement when you
file a claim, you'll only pay your selected deductible amount.
What do I do if the service center won't honor the warranty?
There's absolutely no reason a
reputable repair facility shouldn't accept your warranty coverage, because
full retail prices are paid on all labor and parts for a covered repair and
they are paid prior to doing any work. If for some reason you are told that
the warranty will not be honored, call the toll-free number found in your
agreement and let the administrator talk to the service center. If the service
center still won't accept the warranty plan, we recommend you bring your
business elsewhere. You can also give us a call and we would be happy to
direct you to a reputable service center.
How are claims paid? Do I have to wait for reimbursement?
All covered claims are paid direct
to the service center using a corporate credit card. Thus you do not have to
pay for the repairs, file a claim and wait endlessly for reimbursement. In
fact, most service centers will not accept extended service agreements unless
the company pays direct.
What happens if a non covered component causes damage to a covered
component?
In this instance, the covered component would not be covered, the damage
cannot result from a non-covered part
Why not buy from the dealership?
The main reasons you shouldn't buy a
warranty from a dealership are price and flexibility. Dealerships use the sale
of warranties to increase their profits and will often finance the warranty's
price with your vehicle. So not only are dealership prices higher, but you
also end up paying interest on your warranty purchase, making it even more
expensive. Additionally, a dealership's warranty is typically restricted to
being valid only at the location where the warranty was purchased.
Will the warranty cover the cost of my rental vehicle?
We will reimburse you up to $150.00 for rental car expenses on an authorized covered repair.
Will the warranty pay for towing?
We will reimburse you up to 100.00 towing expenses for any authorized covered repair.
Is there a waiting period before the policy can be used?
Yes, the policy comes with a 15 day/500 mile waiting period which begins after the warranty has been purchased.
Is there a limit of liability? Yes, the max on the Powertrain only policy is $3500 on the engine, and $2500 on the transmission. The max on the Powertrain Plus policy is $4000 per single claim or the actual cash value of the vehicle at that time. The total of claims paid shall not exceed the actual cash value of the vehicle.
The max on the lifetime engine protection is $2500.
Can I transfer my warranty?
Yes, the Powertrain and Powertrain Plus programs are transferable, the
lifetime engine protection program is not.
Is the warranty cancelable?
This warranty can only be canceled if the vehicle is totaled and you will
receive a prorated refund, otherwise it is not cancelable.
When will I receive my
Cooling system Product & what do I do with it?
